Mooring marine offshore foam surface support pick up buoys are in service for inland waterways and offshore instead of traditional steel mooring buoys.

The cylindrical mooring buoy is one kind of representative mooring buoy. The cylindrical mooring buoys can be supplied in chain-through type, or equipped with pad-eye, crucifix, quick release hook, and maker or navigation equipment. Other variety end fittings are available to suit every case application. All end fittings are made of galvanized or painted steel to resist seawater corrosion.

Our offshore buoyancy buoys generally consist of a closed-cell foam core encapsulated with tough, resistant polyurethane outer skin, combined with high-quality steelwork. We can make subsurface mooring buoys, cable floats, pipeline floaters, ROV buoyancy modules, special shape buoys, and other syntactic foam products. The out skin can be made by polyethylene shell and polyurethane elastomer.  

General surface support buoys are extensively used in single-point mooring (SPM) systems. The three main types are cylindrical buoys, chain-through buoys, and pick-up buoys.

General surface buoys are constructed by resilient closed cell polyethylene /EVA foam around the inner central steelwork, covered by polyurethane (PU) outer kin. The resilient closed cell polyethylene/EVA foam core guarantees self-fendering and is unsinkable even in case of damage. And self-colored polyurethane elastomer skin is resistant to abrasion and ultraviolet rays degradation. For extreme service environments, the polyurethane elastomer skin can be reinforced by nylon to protective coating has higher tear strength, making the buoy long-lasting and virtually maintenance-free.
